ABOUT THE COLLABORATIVE

The United States is in the midst of a maternal health crisis, with Black people being three- to four-times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications within a year of childbirth than their white counterparts. In response to this crisis, the March of Dimes and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), with an investment from United Healthcare Community & State, created a public-private partnership to improve maternal health outcomes and advance equity.

EMPOWERING COMMUNITies

Community partnerships with hospitals are essential to building a society that gives all individuals the chance at accessing high-quality, preference-sensitive care. We pair community feedback with process improvement to accelerate change.
